Continuous Load Application
This kind of application is mainly used in those areas that require a certain speed but require a low speed accuracy, such as fans, pumps, blowers and so on. Usually, this kind of application costs less than others and is mostly open-loop control.
Variable Load Applications
This kind of application mainly refers to the application in which the motor speed requirement varies in a certain range. In this kind of application, there are higher requests for the high speed characteristics and dynamic response characteristics of the motor. Washing machines, dryers and tighteners in household appliances are good examples. In the automotive industry, fuel pump control, electrical controller, engine control and electronic tools are also good examples. There are also many applications in aviation, such as centrifuges, pumps, manipulators, gyroscopes and so on. In this category, motor reactor components are often used to form semi-open-loop and closed-loop stop control. This requires a complex control algorithm, which increases the complexity of the controller and the cost of the system.
Most industrial control and automatic control applications fall into this category. In these applications, energy delivery is often completed, such as gears or conveyor belts, so the system has special requests for the dynamic response and torque of the motor speed. At the same time, these applications may need to change the direction of the motor at any time. The motor may work at a constant speed, acceleration, reduction stage, and possibly in these stages. Load is also changing in the stage, so it makes higher request to the controller. Usually this control uses closed-loop control, so that there are three control loops: torque loop, speed loop and position loop. Photoelectric encoders and some synchronization devices may be used in speed measurement. Sometimes these sensors are used to measure relative position, and sometimes absolute position. Process control, mechanical control and transportation control are many of these applications.
